ELECTRICAL ESTIMATING

Students will be taught to professionally and correctly estimate electrical work and submit a competitive bid.
Course topics covered are:

  • INITIAL REVIEW OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
  • SET-UP OF TAKE-OFF AND PRICING SHEETS
  • FORMULATING “RFI”s – Request For Information
  • TAKE-OFF
  • PREPARATION OF MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT LIST FOR VENDOR PRICING
  • LABOR VALUES
  • SET-UP OF AND TRANSFER OF INFORMATION TO “RECAP” SHEETS
  • SUMMARY SHEET
  • FINAL SENIOR-LEVEL REVIEW
  • PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF BID

    • Electrical Estimating is a 30 hour course. twelve 2-1/2 hour sessions.

The course begins Monday, June 9 - via Zoom - and will run twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6:30 PM to 8:45 PM Eastern Time.
